New Work
Art Narrative:
My New Work is a series I’ve been developing that explores archetypes in metaphoric environments. From my collection of late 19th and early 20th century tintypes, ambrotypes, daguerreotypes, and vintage postcards, I’ve selected various images, added my drawings and photography by scanning them into a digital format then utilized computer technology to layer and manipulate the original images. The finished piece is then printed with archival papers and inks. The process can run to over fifty hours, comparable to the commitment to a painting or more traditional collage.
